Already a homeowner, Helen was looking to buy in Southern California. She thought she knew what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised when she decided to call Rosedale home. Her experience from start to finish was individualized and gave her the confidence to take the plunge.

Based in Northern California, Helen needed a second home in Azusa for her job. She loved the Sage Court neighborhood because, as she said, “It doesn’t feel like a I’m living in a complex. What I chose has a very modern floorplan (Plan 1) that’s unique. It doesn’t feel like a townhome, it feels like a home.” The two-bedroom, two-and-half bathroom floorplan has a great kitchen and entertaining area that let Helen be a great hostess to her friends and family. Plus, the Rosedale community had “a lot of thought behind it, where people will buy and stay.” It was the perfect combination for her needs!

While looking at Sage Court, Helen appreciated the Lyon Homes sales team’s no-pressure style. She always felt welcomed and greeted by friendly people like Truely and Garth.  They knew that she would be traveling a lot and had a tight schedule. She still received personal attention and her unique needs were accommodated. According to Helen, all this attention and personal focus made her feel like family.

“They are very transparent and cut to the chase, which I like,” she said. “Not all builders are like that. The people at Lyon Homes care about the buyers, which is very different than my previous experiences.”

Helen wants to let anyone considering buying a new home to make sure they know what they want before going out to look. She recommends Sage Court and Gardenia at Rosedale because the pricing is right and location is great. “It has everything you need,” she said.

In the end, Helen loves owning her new William Lyon Home. “I love it,” she says. “It’s much better than renting. Rent can change from year to year but your own home is your own home.”
