Path to Homeownership

step
1

Discover Your Purchasing Power

Meet with a ClosingMark Home Loans rep who will help assess how much you qualify for.

step
2

Purchase & Sales Agreement

Review documents and other important disclosures with your sales counselor and sign your purchase agreement.

step
3

Get To Know Your Team

Shortly after you purchase, we’ll arrange a casual introduction of the team in charge of building your new home. Plus, you can expect to receive regular updates from your sales and construction team on the progress of your new home.

Your Closing Schedule

You will close on a previously selected date following your new home orientation and acceptance walk appointments. These dates will be communicated to you by your salesperson or escrow coordinator approximately four to six weeks prior to closing. Your new home orientation, scheduled 7-10 days prior to closing, lets you review special features, become familiar with operating systems, and confirms that everything is ready for your move-in.

step
5

Prepare to Close

Prior to closing, an agent from the title company will advise you on what items to bring, the amount of funds required to close, and will provide wiring instructions. After your acceptance walk appointment you will be ready to go to closing where you will collect keys after all documents are finalized. Please change over utlities within one day of closing to ensure these operate under your name. Instructions will be provided at closing.

Congratulations and Welcome Home

Welcome to the William Lyon Homes family! We take pride in every home we build, which is why we offer online customer support and have a Warranty-Service Representative schedule a 30-day and annual care visit to your home after you close. It’s our opportunity to check-in on how things are functioning in your new home and to be sure you’re comfortable with the operations of those new systems.
